I had two domains that were up for renewal at RegFly. I ordered renewal of the domains for 5 years each. Payment succeeded but as I know now, RegFly commits fraud by charing for services they do not provide. So in all panic I opened numerous support tickets that were closed right after I got an automated reply. Bummer. Google was my friend an I discovered about the RegFly troubling history. I needed my domains back asap as our company was trying to cope with rising corporate damage as a result of our domains not being active. The WHOIS provided me with some valuable information. My domain was registered through Tucows on behalf of RegFly, thus RegFly being a Tucows reseller. I sent them a few emails through the form on http://domainhelp.opensrs.net/ No replies, so I decided to phone them. The automatic answering machine told me that in case of not being able to renew domains I should send an email to compliance (at) opensrs (dot) org I sent them an email describing the situation and included PDF-print-outs of:
After 4 days I received the following from the Tucows Compliance Officer OpenSRS:
I received the transfer codes in seperate email and I initiated the domain transfer to another registrar immediately. All praise goes to Tucows/OpenSRS for solving this issue. I have learned that people that have domains registered through ENOM can do the same by contacting the ENOM compliance officer. |
