I live in Florida and I do appreciate this information. Has any type of investigation started yet?

It is crucial for all Florida State Residents to file a complaint with the FL. Attorney Ggeneral. This will lead to criminal prosecution of Kevin ! Do that here:

If you do not take the time to file complaints with the agencies mentioned above, what do you think will happen to Registerfly and your domain names? Yeap- nothing. The Fl. Attorney General has only received 3 complaints! Looks like Kevins walking on this one! I thank the other two people for making the effort.

From what I was told after speaking with him, he is investigating into registerfly. He has only received two complaints, one was mine. He took interest in the fact that registerfly has an office in Florida. I refered him to the registerflies.com website, as he was unaware of the financial loses customers have lost. I urge all florida state residents to file claims with his office asap. He was interested in the class action lawsuit!

Yeah, I know. I know where the office is since I live now live in Miami. Anyway, I will report them myself as well as I think my money should be returned for the last two years that I spent with them

Does anyone have Attorney General contact info for the State of New Jersey where Regfly is headquartered?

I live in NJ and want to put as much pressure on them as possible.

Thanks!

Sorry - I didn't quite get the URL display thing... I listed it above, along w/ Florida Attorney General, Better Business Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission... I've filed complaints at all of these locations; please do the same!

I contacted Bill McCollum's office in Tallahassee. Here's how to proceed.

PLEASE go to the Florida Attorney General's website at http://www.myfloridalegal.com/contact and then, near the bottom, under "Contact", use the "online contact form". Where it says to "select the appropriate section", select "Attorney General"

In the State of Florida, there is no "business to business" complaint procedure other than to initiate civil procedings. So it will do no good here to expect Florida's Attorney General to do anything about lost revenues. And even if your complaint is about RegisterFly billing your credit card without providing service, if you're complaining as a business, then that doesn't do much.

INSTEAD, the objective here must be to make the Office of the Attorney General aware of the ongoing crime (RegisterFly is still in operation, billing to credit cards even as I write this), and substantiate it with specific incidents with which you are personally aware.

We can only hope that with enough people notifying them of the problem and the following specifics, the FL OAG will look into shutting down Kevin Medina before he steals another day's plunder. Even if the FL OAG determines that this is a federal matter or a matter for the State of NJ, Mr. McCollum's office does work with such offices on issues of CyberCrime.

As of this afternoon, the FL OAG has only three complaints. I hope that ICANN will contact Mr. McCollum personally at 850-414-3990. Please, others, do not flood this office with phone calls. Use the online form.

You can tell them the following:

RegisterFly solicited me to buy (domain name or renewal or whatever) using my credit card on their web site, and they billed me but failed to provide the purchased service. The credit card billing comes thru as HOSTING SERVICES in NJ.

On 14 February 2007, Kevin Medina filed an Annual Business Entity Status Report with the State of New Jersey listing the Main Business Address of Hosting Services Group Inc as 960 41st St Ste 402, Miami Beach FL 33140.

On 16 April 2007 the United States District Court for the Central District of California granted a Temporary Restraining Order against RegisterFly.com et al. The TRO was served by overnight delivery to Kevin Medina, RegisterFly.com, Inc., 960 Arthur Godfrey Rd Ste 402, Miami Beach FL 33140.

Dear Mr. Spark:

Please note that I may be the 3rd person wishing to file a formal complaint against Registerfly.com.

My name is Mary Gordon and I reside in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Registerfly.com did not renew my domain name, and as a result, I have lost the domain name to another entity. Registerfly.com has not refunded my account balance, but withdrew another amount of money via Paypal.com.! I've tried to contact Registerfly.com numerous times via phone to no avail, and in fact, the only phone number provided for customer service has since been disconnected. I've sent a request to close my account immediately & refund my balance via their support ticket system that states all requests will receive a reply within 24 hours and that (a reply from registerfly.com) hasn't happened either.

Please advise.

The Attorney General's office were well aware of the issue... i can only imagine that they mean 2 OFFICIAL complaints... I received confirmation that they were well aware of the problem (below).

I contacted Aziz (Office Of The Attorney General ) back in Sept 2006 stating that I was having serious problems with Registerfly... I didnt follow through with official complaint because they wanted complete history and it would have taken me many weeks to compile this history of complaints as I had 200 domains with RF for 6 years... so i didnt lodge official complaint.

Anyway, the reply I received from Aziz :
E-Commerce Investigative Unit
Office of Consumer Protection
Division of Consumer Affairs
Office Of The Attorney General of the State of New Jersey

"
Note: Please do NOT send print-outs of your "Google" search of complaints
against www.registerfly.com or www.ripoff.com reports on the company. The Division is aware of the amplitude of the problem. "

READ AGAIN: "The Division is aware of the amplitude of the problem"!!!

It would seem that everybody who was ina position to put a stop to Registerfly turned as blind eye...
