Many of you may have had the opportunity to experience the very pathetic hosting provided by Registerfly via sagonet.com.  Some of you not only have lost the hosting during this mess but there have been some requests by users here expressing that while they not only lost the hosting, they didn't have a backup of these sites.  This is a problem and I've contacted sagonet.com yesterday and again today when I didn't hear back from them and spoke with the supervisor, Mike.

Wednesday April 11th I contacted sagonet.com data center and spoke with someone in the technical department and asked if there were some way that the folks that had hosting with Registerfly and lost this, if there were anyway that they could allow people to get back-ups of their websites or provide temporary hosting for the customers effected.  They promised to get back to me yesterday but failed to do so.  So I called again today and they do have the data and a back-up of the sites but due to the legal crap, they need a court order to release any of this data because it is technically property of Registerfly.

I spoke with Mike who seemed very nice and polite but could not offer any solution with regards to the hosting of Registerfly.  He suggested we contact Kevin at Registerfly and he'd be happy to work something out with Kevin and Registerfly to allow users to back up their data.  Since we all know that contacting Registerfly is one of the most difficult things to do, it's suggested that any of you that have had hosting with Registerfly, file a summons and complaint in small claims and get a judge to issue an order for sagonet.com to release the data that belongs to the customers.

Here are the contact details:

Enough - What about Expirefish.com Registered | 2007-04-12 16:01:55
Expirefish was/is part of Registerfly wasn't it? Are they still operating? Anyone else pay for a service and not receive anything?

Well, I dont know about Expirefish, but I would like to comment about the leading post from Admin.

I saw your post tonight and called Sagonet.

The technical staff was very professional and polite. The were aware of the situation with Registerfly, but are between a rock and a hard place as well.

Registerfly was legally their client, and so Sagonet feels that legally they can not release files to anyone who just calls them on the phone, as they have no way to verify who you are, and that any files really belong to you.

There is one long-shot chance that I myself dreamed up, but I called in too late.

My thought was to see if Sagonet could at least verify if my files still exist on their servers. If they do, I could get a court order to have Sagonet release them to me.

This relieves Sagonet from any breach of contract with Registerfly, and because they would be complying with a court order, would be held harmless.

The person I spoke with understood that, and in order to verify if my files still existed, he needed my IP address that I was assigned.

I still had the IP address, but when I gave it to him, he was able to verify that my server space and IP address had already been re-assigned to a new company and my files were now gone forever.

So, all my proprietary files that I had no back-ups too, are just gone. Like a light-bulb that popped that last time and it was all over.

My point in telling you all of this is, that while my IP address has been re-assigned, some of you folks may still have some data left that has not yet been re-assigned.

You will need two pieces of information to get those files.

Number one; Your old IP number.
Number two; A court order instructing Sagonet to release the files to you.

Don't delay !! Every day you wait, Sagonet gets closer to assigning your number to someone else. Then it will be too late.

I want to thank the people at Sagonet for being very understanding and trying to help me in some way.

Here are some legal issues about deception that need to be addressed:

In that registerfly.com by ICANNs own admission has no funding arrangement anymore,
(and is in monetary arrears with all 4 registrar's of Internet domain names)
but is still allowed daily under false pretense to offer domain renewals and other services it can not and
will not provide to unsuspecting victims, while law enforcement authorities continue to ignore said felonies and turn a blind eye to such crime.

More interesting is why Verisign especially (other 3 registrar's,also) have remained silent after agreeing with ICANN (icann press release)
that in the public BEST interest they would act as guardian and HOLD and not DELETE domains held in said trust.

This and many other felony fraud
related issues HAVE EVEN BEEN reported in Businesweek Magazine
yet federal and local law enforcement continue to act as if these crimes are of a civil nature and
are not within the realm of the penal code while daily intellectual property is stolen and sold off in ransom.

It would appear that ICANN by not officially reporting the scams and thefts to the proper authorities
ICANN are AIDING AND ABETTING Registerfly.com (Kevin Medina) to perpetrate these monitary daily crimes of "theft by deception"
*Theft by Deception" [Law Reference] http://www.lrc.ky.gov /krs/514-00/040.PDF
(via credit card and paypal payments) on the public via the online Internet unsuspecting community.

I welcome your comments,if you have any info to help prosecute this
group of criminals operating within the above named
establishments, do come forward ...

POST CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION ANYTIME!

Has anyone contacted the banks that provide credit card service to registerfly? It seems that in light of all the fraud going on that they would pull the plug on Kevin.

For an non-US resident like me is kind of confusing hearing all these voices claiming that no one has done nothing?

As actually any US citizen among you that has been a victim of RF contacted federal authorities on this?

Did the honourable attorney running the class law suit take action in complaining to federal authorities?

Stop whining! Do something!
